Ukraine for January-September exported 59k tons of sunflower

Ukraine for January-September 2017 exported 59.35k tons of sunflower seeds for $24.53 million.

According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in September 2017, sunflower exports amounted to 2.34 tons.

The main importers of Ukrainian sunflower in the reporting period were Turkey ($6.25 million), Germany ($3.11 million) and Italy ($2.37 million).

Exports to these countries amounted to 15.12k tons, 7.53k tons and 5.73k tons respectively.

Reference: the gross harvest of sunflower in Ukraine in 2017 will amount to 14 million tons, which is 6% higher than the previous estimate (13.2 million tons), but 5.6% below last year's indicator (14.8 million tons).
