In 2018 EBRD plans to invest EUR 1 billion in Ukraine

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in 2018 plans to invest EUR 1 billion in Ukraine.

This was announced by the head of the EBRD office in Ukraine Sevki Acuner in the comment for Latifundist.com during the forum Poltava: Together Create New Opportunities.

"As in 2017, we plan to invest EUR 1 billion. At the same time, the agrarian sector remains for us a key direction," he said.

He stressed that the EBRD does not have clearly fixed amounts of funding for separate countries.

"It depends on the availability of interesting projects. If their number and volume exceed EUR 1 billion, we are ready to finance. The important thing is that projects are financially sustainable, environmentally friendly and are useful from the point of view of influence on the economy," added Sevki Acuner.

Reference: the EBRD will provide a long-term secured loan of USD 25 million to the agro-industrial holding Astarta-Kiev for the development of infrastructure.
