In January-August transshipment of vegetable oils from seaports increased to 3.9 million tons

Sea ports of Ukraine in January-August 2017 provided for the transshipment of 3.86 million tons of vegetable oils, which is 30.35% more than the same period last year.

This is reported by USPA. 

The top-5 sea ports in terms of volumes of transshipment of vegetable are:

• Nikolaev — 1 592.89 tons (+29.3% compared to the same period the previous year)
• Chernomorsk — 1 125.84 thousand tons (+36.8%)
• Yuzhny — 900.3 thousand tons (+30.85%)
• Mariupol —- 73.6 thousand tons (+120.36%)
• Odessa — 66.52 thousand tons (-30.42%)

Let us remind, that the world production of 8 key vegetable oils in 2017/18 MY will increase by 3.6% per year to 187.1 million tons.
