Astarta's sales of sugar decreased 34% in Q1 2018

Sales volumes of sugar produced by the agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv decreased 34% to 48.62 thou. tons in Q1 2018.

In Q1 2017, sales volumes of sugar decreased from 141.46 thou. tons to 92.84 thou. tons in Q1 2018.

It is noted in the report that the average realized price of sugar decreased 13% to 11.62 thou. UAH/ton.

Reference: for the year 2017, Astarta increased sugar exports by 34% to 186 thou. tons as compared to 2016.

Note: Ukrainian sugar market in 2017 was dominated by 10 companies.
