2.8 million ha of grains and legumes threshed in Ukraine — Harvest Online 2018

As of July 9, 2018, agrarians in 23 regions of Ukraine continue harvesting early grain and leguminous crops, which is carried out on the area of 2.8 million hectares or 29% of the forecast.

8.36 million tons of new crop grain are harvested with a productivity of 2.98 t/ha.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

  • winter wheat — 5.5 million tons from 1.81 million hectares (29% of the forecast) with the productivity of 3.03 t/ha;
  • spring wheat — 8.1 thou. tons from 3.3 thou. hectares (2%) with the productivity of 2.49 t/ha;
  • winter barley — 2.4 million tons from 709.3 thou. hectares (86%) with the productivity of 3.4 t/ha;
  • spring barley — 221.3 thou. tons from 120.2 thou. hectares (8%) with the productivity of 1.84 t/ha;
  • peas — 222.1 thou. tons from 161 thou. hectares (38%) with the productivity of 1.38 t/ha.

Agrarians also started rye harvesting, which is threshed on 0,8 thou. hectares and the yield so far makes up 2 thou. tons. Oats are threshed on 0,7 thou. hectares, 0,9 thou. tons of crop are threshed.

In 23 regions, the harvesting campaign of winter rapeseed continues. The oilseed crop is threshed on the area of 475.6 thou. hectares, 1.1 million tons are harvested to date.
