Romanian Complex Delta will perform dredging in the Danube ports

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) signed an agreement on the implementation of operational dredging in the water areas of the seaports of Izmail and Reni with the Romanian company Complex Delta.

"We are pleased that the agreement with the contractor for dredging in the ports of the Danube is signed. Now the winning company can mobilize the fleet and proceed with the work required to maintain the navigational dimensions in Izmail and Reni. This, in turn, will help improve the conditions for handling existing cargo flows and attracting new ones, increasing ship calls thus developing business," the Acting CEO of USPA Raivis Veckagans commented.

The cost of work reaches USD 32 million. The total estimated volume of soil to be excavated is 0.2 million m³ including the following water areas:

• Izmail seaport — up to 156 thou. m³;
• Reni seaport — up to 44 thou. m³.

The planned implementation period does not exceed 4 months.

Earlier it was reported that USPA re-launched the procedure for the open tender for the provision dredging services of the access channels and water areas of the Berdyansk and Mariupol seaports.
