Grain exports from Ukraine exceed 16 mln tons

Since the start of MY2018/19, grain exports from Ukraine amounted to 16 million tons, of which 8.7 million tons are wheat supplies, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) reports.

Milling wheat shipments accounted for more than 5.2 million tons, feed wheat — 3.5 million tons, barley — 3 million tons and corn — 4 million tons.

Over the corresponding period of the previous marketing year, more than 15.5 million tons of grain were exported, in particular, more than 9 million tons of wheat, including milling wheat (5.1 million tons) and feed wheat (over 4 million tons), over 3.6 million tons of barley and 2.4 million tons of corn.

In the current marketing year, more than 2.3 million tons of oilseeds were exported, which corresponds to last year’s level.

Previously it was reported that the price for corn and feed wheat had decreased. Prices for sunflower, on the contrary, improved.
