Winter rapeseed planting in Ukraine 16 pct complete

Agrarians in 16 regions of Ukraine have started winter rapeseed sowing campaign for the 2020 harvest.

By the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, as of August 14th, 168 thou. ha or 16% of the forecast (2018: 211 thou. ha) are sown.

Agrarians of Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zakarpattya, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Chernigiv regions have not yet started planting winter rapeseed.

By August 14th, harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was carried out on the area of 9.8 million hectares or 98%. The crop reached 38.3 million tons.
