Harvest Online 2019: wheat crop reached 28 million tons

By August 14th, harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was carried out on the area of 9.8 million hectares or 98%. The crop reached 38.3 million tons.

The highest crop was harvested in Odesa — 3.1 million tons, Zaporizhzhya — 3 million tons, Kharkiv — 2.8 million tons, Dnipropetrovsk — 2.7 million tons and Mykolaiv — 2.6 million tons.

According to the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as follows:

  • wheat — 28.1 million tons on 6.7 million hectares or 99% yielding 4.18 t/ha;
  • barley — 9 million tons on 2.58 million hectares or 99% yielding 3.49 t/ha;
  • peas — 583 thou. tons on 257 thou. hectares or 100% yielding 2.27 t/ha;
  • rye — 310 thou. tons on 112 thou. hectares or 96% yielding 2.77 t/ha;
  • oats — 366 thou. tons on 147 thou. hectares or 81% yielding 2.49 t/ha;
  • winter rapeseed — 3.1 million tons on 1.25 million hectares or 99% yielding of 2.49 t/ha.
