Harvest Online 2019: top soybean yielding regions

As of September 30th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 11.3 mln ha or 74% of the total. The crop reached 46.3 mln t using the average yield of 4.11 t/ha (2018: 3.68 t/ha).

The highest yield of soybean was reported at the farms of Zaporizhzhya (3.43 t/ha), Kherson (3.25 t/ha), Rivne (2.85 t/ha), Lviv (2.82 t/ha) and Khmelnytsky (2.8 t/ha) regions.

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 72 thou. t on 55 thou. ha or 81%;
  • millet — 142 thou. t on 75 thou. ha or 84%;
  • corn — 6.5 mln t on 1.1 mln ha or 22%;
  • soybean — 2.2 mln t on 930 thou. ha or 59% yielding 2.37 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 10.3 mln t on 4.5 mln ha or 76%;
  • sugar beet — 2 mln t on 45 thou. ha or 20% yielding 44.5 t/ha.
