Palm oil import to Ukraine estimated at USD 120 mln

In the period of January-October 2019, palm oil import to Ukraine reached 181.75 thou. t for the amount of USD 120.2 mln.

As reported by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS), key importers of the product in the reporting period are as followed:

• Indonesia — USD 100.4 mln (80.43%);
• Malaysia — USD 18.9 mln (15.4%);
• Sweden — USD 749 thou. (0.62%);
• other countries — USD 1.03 mln (0.85%).

Palm oil export shipment from Ukraine in Jan.–Oct. stood at 5.59 thou. t worth USD 3.66 mln.

Previously reported that the European Union preserved the status of a major importer of Ukrainian soybean oil with a market share of 65%. The volume of purchases in January-October 2019 increased by 78% and amounted to 34 thou. t vs. 19.1 thou. t in the prior year's comparative period.
