333 Ukrainian companies authorized for export to the EU

333 Ukrainian agricultural companies are currently authorized for commodities exports to the EU member states. This was announced by Olha Shevchenko, acting head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP).

153 companies producing foodstuffs and 180 companies producing non-food products are licensed for export.

"Today Ukraine is one of the largest producers and exporters of agricultural products. We produce almost all the commodity positions of animal and plant production exported to international markets, and it inspires confidence among foreign consumers," said Olha Shevchenko.

According to her, the majority of companies producing products for human consumption (72 companies) have the right to export honey to the EU, 27 1 fish products, 22 — dairy products, 17 — live or chilled snails, 8 — poultry and meat products, 4 — eggs and egg products, 1 — intestinal raw materials, and 1 — collagen.

As a reminder, staple grains export from Ukraine has reached 38.99 mln t since the start of 2019/20 (July 2019 – June 2020).
