Sunflower seeds export from Ukraine halved

In January-March 2020, sunflower seeds export shipment from Ukraine totalled 12.56 thou. t, 62% less YoY.

Under the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in monetary terms export in Q1 2020 reached USD 6.18 mln, 57% less from the prior year's comparative indicator (USD 14.4 mln).

The largest markets in the reporting period are as followed:

• Georgia: 1.49 thou. t, USD 731 thou. (11.82% of the total supply);
• Belgium: 1.37 thou. t, USD 674 thou. (10.9%);
• Germany: 1.35 thou. t, USD 666 thou. (10.77%);
• other countries: 8.35 thou. t, USD 4.11 mln (66.51%).
