Commercial eggs production in Ukraine reduced in Jan-May
In the period of January-May 2020, birds' eggs production in Ukraine totalled 6.99 bln units, 0.4% less from the comparative period of 2019 (7.03 bln units), the State Statistics Service of Ukraine data show.
Commercial eggs production in the reporting period reached 3.89 bln units, which is 1% less YoY (Jan-May 2019: 3.93 bln units).
Over five months, egg production by household farms increased by 0.4% to 3.11 bln eggs vs. 3.09 bln in Jan-May 2019.
Birds' eggs export from Ukraine in Jan-May 2020 totalled 49.77 thou. t, 25% less from the relevant period of 2019 — 65.95 thou. t.
