Ukrainian dairy products approved for export to Kuwait market
Ukrainian dairy producers have been authorized to export to Kuwait. The relevant veterinary certificate has been agreed upon by the competent authorities of both countries, the SSUFSCP(The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection) reports.
It is the sixth market opened for Ukrainian dairy since the start of 2021.
"The Gulf region(Arab states which border the Persian Gulf. There are seven member states of the Arab League in the region: Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates), in particular Kuwait, is of interest to many Ukrainian food producers. I am pleased to report that today we have created additional opportunities for them to earn in this market through the joint work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Food Service. In the long term, this will also strengthen Ukraine's position as a supplier of agricultural and food products to Kuwait," Foreign Affairs minister Dmytro Kuleba states.
In early March, 25 producers of milk and dairy products in Ukraine passed an audit conducted by the European Commission.
Milk production in January-April reduced by 5.1% YoY.
