Chicken meat production in Ukraine to fall in 2021: forecast

In the rating of the largest chicken meat producing countries in 2021, Ukraine holds 15th position with the production volume at 1.38 mln t. The forecasted reduction is 3.37% YoY (2020: 1.42 mln t), IndexMundi data portal reports.

Analysts forecast chicken meat production in the US at 20.34 mln t in 2021, putting the country in the top position.

According to IndexMundi, Ukraine will be ranked 6th in the world suppliers of chicken in 2021 with 400,000 t (2020: 428,000 t). Brazil is the world's leading chicken exporter, with 3.8 mln t of chicken shipment. The USA will come in second place with 3.3 mln t, and the EU ranks third with 1.4 mln t of poultry exports.

In Jan-Apr 2021, Saudi Arabia is the key market for Ukrainian chicken meat.
