Harvest Online 2021: 17 mln t of wheat produced in Ukraine

As of 29 July, agriproducers in Ukraine harvested 24.29 mln t of new crop grain on 5.7 mln ha, 37% of the projected area. Early grain and leguminous crops yield 4.27 t/ha on average.

Under the data of the project Harvest Online 2021, early grains bulk yield:

  • winter and spring barley: 6.87 mln t on 1.67 mln ha (68% of the total area), using the average yield of 4.11 t/ha
  • winter and spring wheat: 16.93 mln t on 3.8 mln ha (55%), 4.45 t/ha
  • peas: 404.68 thou. t on 180.14 thou. ha (77%), 2.25 t/ha
  • rapeseed: 1.48 mln t on 568.5 thou. ha (56%), 2.61 t/ha

Farms of Kherson region harvested 90% of the planned areas (780.95 thou. ha) using the avg. yield of 4.23 t/ha, the new crop reached 2.97 mln t.

The average yield of grains and legumes higher than 5 t/ha is produced in Vinnytsya, Volyn, Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy region.

The USDA in its July report projects wheat export from Ukraine in 2021/22 at 21 mln t, corn at 30.5 mln t. Ukraine's sunflowerseed supply is projected at 16.7 mln t.
