LDC in search of vessels for grain export from Ukraine

Louis Dreyfus Company is making maximum efforts to find vessels that will be ready to move along the Black Sea transportation corridor determined by Ukrainian official authorities, the company addresses its partners in a letter seen by Latifundist.com.

After the Port of Odesa and the terminal Brooklyn-Kyiv LLC, Port Povdenny and the terminal Borivazh LLC confirm that they are ready to perform throughput services and LDC finds vessels for loading, the company will be ready to resume acceptance of the grain into the terminal Brooklyn-Kyiv and Borivazh to be delivered in accordance with delivery obligations under existing contracts.

"At the same time, we kindly ask you to consider that the speed and possibility of acceptance of the grain will depend on the technological capabilities of the Odesa Port and terminal Brooklyn-Kyiv, LLC and port Pivdenny and the terminal Birivazh as well as the speed of presentation of vessels for loading," the letter reads.

The first vessel since February 24 left the Port of Odesa on August 1. The Sierra Leone-flagged ship RAZONI will deliver 26,527 t of corn to Lebanon.
