The largest grain handling seaports in 2016

In January-December 2016 the largest volumes of grain transshipment were provided by Nikolaev (9.06 million tons) and Yuzhny (8.21 million tonnes) sea ports.
It is reported by USPA.

The Top 5 seaports in terms of grain handling includes:

1.Nikolayev — 9.06 million tons (+ 3.7% compared to the same period last year);

2.Yuzhny — 8.21 million tons (-15.9%);

3.Odessa — 8.16 million tons (-5.3%);

4.Chernomorsk — 7.98 million tons (+ 56.9%);

5.SSP Oktyabrsk — 3.05 million tons (+ 24.6%).

It was earlier reported that according to the optimistic scenario transshipment capacities of Ukrainian ports by 2020 will amount to 157.3 million tons of grain cargoes annually.
