40 million tons of grain are harvested in Ukraine — Harvest Online 2017

As of September 22, 2017, Ukraine harvested 40 million tons of grain. This is evidenced in the data of the joint project Latifundist.com and AGCO Harvest Online 2017.

Harvesting of grain crops is carried out on the area of 10.1 million hectares or 70% to the forecast. The average yield amounts to 3.84 t/ha (2016 — 3.94 t/ha).

It is noted that corn yield amounted to 1.2 million tons, with the productivity of 4.38 tons/ha (2016 — 4.79 tons/ha).

Soybean harvesting campaign is carried out on the area of ​​542 thousand hectares or 27% to the forecast, 935 thousand tons of oilseed crop are harvested with the average yield of 1.72 t/ha (2016 — 2.11 t/ha).

The harvest of sunflower on the indicated date amounts to 4.8 million tons, harvesting is already completed on 43% of the area, and the average yield is 1.85 t/ha (2016 — 2.14 t/ha).

Sugar beet in Ukraine is harvested on the area of ​​42 thousand hectares or 13% of the forecast (total forecast — 318 thousand hectares), the yield makes up 1.8 million tons, with the average productivity of 42.6 tons/ha (2016 — 45.0 t/ha).

The highest yields of grain and leguminous crops are recorded in the following regions: Khmelnitsky — 5.57 t/ha, Ternopil — 5.27 t/ha, Chernivtsi — 5.05 t/ha, Vinnytsia — 4.97 t/ha, Ivano-Frankivsk — 4 , 94 t/ha and Lviv — 4.82 t/ha.
