Export of oilseeds from Ukraine increased by 42%

As of September 25, Ukraine exported 1.32 million tons of oilseeds, which is 42% more than in 2016 (0.76 million tons).

This is reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection with reference to the Department of Phytosanitary Security, control in the sphere of seed production of the State Food Consumption Service.

Of this amount, rapeseed exports also show a positive growth rate of 1.2 million tons (2016 — 0.56 million tons).

According to the joint project of Latifundist.com and AGCO Harvest Online 2017 as of September 22, the sunflower harvest amounted to 4.8 million tons, harvesting is completed on the 43% of the area, and the average yield amounted to 1.85 t/ha (2016 — 2,14 t/ha).
