Grain export from the sea ports of Ukraine amounted to 506k tons

During the period from September 23 to September 29, 2017, 506 thousand tons of grain crops were shipped from Ukraine's seaports, which is only 1% higher than a week earlier.

This is reported by APK-Inform.

The main export position for the reporting week is wheat — 381k tons or 75% of the total volume of grain exports. Barley exports amounted to 125k tons (25%) against 139k tons (28%) a week earlier. Corn was not shipped last week.

It is noted that Odessa Marine Trade Port, which shipped 98k tons of grain, became the leader in terms of shipment volume in the reporting period. The company Brooklyn-Kiev shipped 69k tons, and Transbulkterminal — 67k tons.

The main importers of Ukrainian grain last week were Egypt (99k tons) and Indonesia (62k tons).

Reference: Ukraine's seaports in January-August 2017 provided for the transshipment of 26.17 million tons of grain, which is 13.2% more than the same period last year.
