Sugar plants processed 6.4 million tons of sugar beet

In Ukraine, as of October 26, sugar plants processed 6.37 million tons of sugar beet and produced 874.3 thousand tons of sugar.
The National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs that 40 sugar plants are currently processing the sugar beet.
Reference: the Association forecasts 46 sugar plants to function in 2017/18 MY. Projected production of sugar remains at the same level — 2 million tons.
