The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine became the owner of the first state logo for labeling organic products.

This is reported by Elena Kovaleva, the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, AgroPolit.com informs.

The procedure for verifying and registering the intellectual property right of the logo lasted almost for 2 years, but at the moment it is completed.

"I want to congratulate all producers of organic products. A long procedure was carried out and at last we officially received the originals of the certificate that the Ministry owns the logo for organic products," the Deputy Minister notes.

According to Elena Kovaleva, there is no separate procedure for using the logo.

"But if there is a discrepancy of products with the logo, appropriate measures will be taken," she comments.

The Deputy Minister also noted that the image will be used for marking products manufactured without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, as well as artificial food additives.

"Due to the use of the logo, Ukrainian organic products can be found not only in the Ukrainian stores, but also in foreign ones," Elena Kovaleva summarizes.

Earlier it was reported that the first Ukrainian state logo for organic products was presented by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foof of Ukraine on February 5, 2016. The author of the image is Polina Makarova, a graduate of the Kharkov Academy of Design and Arts.
