99% of sunflower areas harvested in Ukraine — Harvest Online 2017

As of November 17, 2017 Ukrainian farmers harvested 99% or 5.88 million hectares of sunflower areas. 

According to the data of the joint project of Latifundist.com and AGCO Harvest Online 2017, the projected harvesting area under oilseeds this season is 5.96 million hectares.

Harvesting of corn is carried out on the area of 3.6 million hectares, the yield amounts to 18.5 million tons with the average productivity of 5.2 tons per hectare (2016: 6.23 t/ha).

Soy is threshed on the area of 1.9 million hectares or 94% of the forecast. The crop yield is 3.6 million tons, with the average productivity of 1.92 tons/ha (2016: 2.28 tons/ha).

Sugar beet is harvested on the area of 292 thousand hectares, the yield makes up 13.2 million tons, with the average productivity of 45.3 tons/ha (2016: 47.8 tons/ha).

The highest yields of grain and leguminous crops are recorded in the following regions: Khmelnitsky — 6.13 t/ha, Vinnitsa — 5.75 t/ha, Sumy — 5.71 t/ha, Ternopol — 5.59 t/ha, Chernovtsy — 5.41 t/ha, Chernigov — 5.35 t/ha, Lvov — 4.95 t / ha and Ivano-Frankovsk — 4.92 t/ha.
