Bioethanol plant to be built in Zhytomyr region
In the Zhytomyr region, the Austrian company plans to build an enterprise for the production of bioethanol, oils and feed from corn.
The Zhytomyr Regional State Administration informs that after signing the Memorandum with the Head of the State Regional Administration Igor Gundich, Austrian company will start the construction of the enterprise for the production of bioethanol, oils and feed from corn in the Popelnyansky District. With the assistance of the authorities, investors have already chosen and issued a land plot.
According to Aleksey Shatilo, Head of the Department for Economic Development, Trade and International Cooperation of the State Regional Administration, the investor wants to bring European equipment and has already been provided with all the necessary documentation on tax and customs payments.
At the first stage it is planned to create 100 jobs. In addition, the plant will have a solar energy plant. The economy of Zhytomyr region will attract about EUR 135 million. The designed capacity of the plant is 300 thousand tons of bioethanol per year with the planned processing of corn at 285 thousand tons.
