1.1 million tons of corn exported from Ukraine in November

Export of Ukrainian corn in November almost reached 1.1 million tons, which is 2.3 times more than in October, but 49% less than November level in MY 2016/17.

APK-Inform reports that this is the minimum indicator of November shipments for the last seven seasons.

By the end of October, 500.1 thousand tons of grain were exported, which is 63% less than the volume of exports in the first month of MY 2016/17 (1.4 million tons).

"The main reasons for the reduction in supplies of Ukrainian grain are the decline in corn production in Ukraine due to reduced crop yields in key regions, as well as high competition in the world market and a significant decline in quotations on major trading platforms," the report says.

Reference: Ukraine from the beginning of MY 2017/18 as of December 6, 2017 exported 17.5 million tons of grain, which is 1.29 million tons less than for the same period last year.
