Export of beef in 2017 increased by 19%

In January-December 2017, Ukraine exported 41.87 thousand tons of fresh and frozen beef, which is 19.38% more than in 2016 (35.09 thousand tons).

According to the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, export of fresh or chilled beef amounted to 12.32 thousand tons (2016: 15.94 thousand tons), while frozen beef was exported in the amount of 29.55 thousand tons (2016: 19.15 thousand tons).

The main importer of fresh and cooled beef in 2017 was Belarus (USD 31.94 million), which was delivered 12.21 thousand tons (99.11% of the total).

Frozen beef was exported to Azerbaijan (USD 20.12 million), Kazakhstan (USD 18.61 million) and Belarus (USD 17.59 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 18.32 thousand tons, 6.43 thousand tons and 6.08 thousand tons, respectively.

Reference: Ukrainian enterprises in January-November 2017 produced 62.6 thousand tons of fresh and frozen beef.
