Rapeseed processing in December dropped to a minimum

The production of rapeseed oil in December 2017 at large and medium-sized enterprises of Ukraine decreased to the minimum monthly volume for the last four seasons — 0.108 thousand tons, reports UkrAgroConsult.

"Despite this fact, the results of the first half of 2017/18 exceed the figures of the same period last year by 28.7%," the report says.

In July-December 2017/18, the production of rapeseed oil amounted to 79.3 thousand tons against 61.6 thousand tons a year earlier, which was due to active processing in the first months of the season.

It is noted that this trend will continue until the end of the season, and will allow to complete the marketing year with the indicator of not less than 80 thousand tons (2016/17: 66.7 thousand tons).

Earlier it was reported that in 2017 Ukraine exported 64.2 thousand tons of rapeseed oil for the amount of USD 49.99 million.
