Bioenergetics in Ukraine grows at a 35% annual pace.

This was stated by Georgii GeletukhaDirector at SEC Biomass, in a workshop Energy crops from cultivation to use. Foreign and domestic experience at the exhibition Agro Spring 2018.

According to him, Ukraine's bioenergy continues growing steadily.

"According to the Energy Balance of Ukraine for 2016, the volume of "total supplies of primary energy from biofuel and waste" was 2.83 million tons о.e. in 2016 (in comparison with 2,102 million tons o.e. in 2015). The average growth rate of the bioenergy sector in Ukraine on this indicator for the period 2010-2016 is 35% per year," said Georgii Geletukha.

The important direction in the development of Ukrainian bioenergetics will be the monetization of subsidies for the population and the creation of a unified biomass exchange.
