Soybean meal and cake exports over 5M of 2017/18 totaled 136k tons

Export of soybean meal and cake over 5 months of 2017/18 (September-January) amounted to 136.2 thousand tons, which is 18% more than over the same period of 2016/17. This is a record indicator for Ukraine. This was informed by Julia Ivanitskaya, analyst at APK-Inform, in a workshop Ukrainian soybean: organic and traditional at the exhibition Agro Spring 2018.

She noted that soybean meal and cake is the most popular in the CIS countries, the EU and the Middle East.

"Despite the fact that Belarus is the major importer of Ukrainian meal and cake in a calendar 2016/17, the volumes of supplies are lower than in the previous years because of the problems with ASF," Julia Ivanitskaya noted.

Earlier it was reported that the leader among soybean processors in Ukraine in 2017/18 (September-December) is Katerynopolsky Elevator, a structural division of Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP).
