Poultry meat exports in February increased 20%

In February 2018, the export of poultry meat from Ukraine totaled 24.7 thou. tons (for the amount of USD 38.5 million), which is 20% more than in February 2017, ShareUAPotential informs.

"The recovery of exports of Ukrainian chicken meat is mainly connected with the record low end-product stocks accumulated by the agricultural holding Myronivsky Hliboproduct (MHP) at the beginning of July, as well as a significant price increase," the message says.

It should be noted that the average export price in February was USD 1.55 per kg, while a year ago it amounted to USD 1.29 per kg.

Reference: in 2017, Ukraine exported 271.33 thou. tons of poultry meat and offal for the amount of USD 389.64 million. The main importers of Ukrainian poultry meat in the reporting period were the Netherlands (USD 78.07 million), Egypt (USD 65.24 million) and Iraq (USD 42.67 million).
