Ukraine traded abroad 8.9 MT of corn in Jan-Apr

In January-April 2018, Ukraine exported 8.89 million tons of corn for the amount of USD 1.43 billion, which is 0.31 million tons less than over the corresponding period in 2017.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS) reports that the major importers of corn in the indicated period are as follows:

  • Egypt — 1.88 million tons, USD 302 million;
  • China — 1.48 million tons, USD 238.4 million;
  • the Netherlands — 0.98 million tons, USD 157.5 million.

Reference: the key importers of Ukrainian corn over the corresponding period of 2017 are Egypt (USD 272.54 million), Spain (USD 166.36 million) and the Netherlands (USD 157.14 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 1.76 million tons, 1.07 million tons and 1.01 million tons of corn, respectively.
