Sugar exports in Jan-May reached 260k tons

In January-May 2018, Ukraine exported 259.85 thou. tons of sugar for the amount of USD 101.56 million.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFS) reports that the key importers of sugar in the reporting period are Uzbekistan (USD 42.4 million), Turkey (USD 15.14 million) and The UK (USD 8.48 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 108.49 thou. tons, 38.74 thou. tons and 21.69 thou. tons, respectively.
Reference: according to balance calculations, the domestic consumption of sugar in September-May of MY2017/18 is estimated at 1 million tons.
