Peas harvest in 2018/19 estimated at 1 million tons

In MY2018/19, analysts estimate the gross yield of peas in Ukraine at 1 million tons, reports APK-Inform.

Such crop volumes will provide for a high export potential of 700 thou. tons.

"A certain decrease in export potential regarding the ending the season index is due to both the expected slight decrease in production and the reduction of pea stocks against the backdrop of active exports," experts note.

Reference: over eleven months of MY2017/18, pea exports from Ukraine amounted to 794.3 thou. tons, which is 70% more than in the previous season (467.5 thou. tons).
