The production of bottled sunflower oil in Sep-Apr 2017/18 declined 15%

In September-April of MY2017/18, the output of bottled sunflower oil decreased by 15% as compared to the previous year, UkrAgroConsult reports.
"There is a decrease in the export trade volumes of bottled sunflower oil in the current 2017/18 season caused primarily by stagnation of the entire segment," analysts note.
According to estimates, in MY2017/18 the export of bottled sunflower oil should decrease by 24%.
The main exporter of bottled sunflower oil last season was Egypt, which accounted for about 33% of all shipments, but in the current season this country almost completely switched to sunflower oil of Russian origin. China over the past 9 months of the season, on the contrary, almost doubled the import of Ukrainian oil.
