Southern regions farmers reported winter rapeseed yield decline

Agrarians of the southern regions of Ukraine inform about the decrease in the yield of winter rapeseed in 2018 as compared with last year's indicators, APK-Inform reports.

The enterprises of Odessa, Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions report that the oil crop yield is 5-15% lower and amounts to 1.6-2.2 t/ha on average. The agrarians of Mykolaiv region often reported the yield at the level of last year's indicators.

Some farmers of this region noted an increase in the yield of winter rapeseed to 1.8-2.4 t/ha in comparison with last year's.

The report writes that as of July 3, 2018, winter rapeseed in Odessa region was harvested from 82.6 thou. hectares, Kherson — 48.3 thou. hectares, Mykolaiv — 20.2 thou. hectares, and Zaporizhzhya — 14.4 thou. hectares.
