Export of rapeseed in H1 2018 down 12%

In H1 2018, Ukraine exported 128.65 thou. tons of rapeseed worth of USD 55.9 million, which is 12.4% less than the exported volume in the corresponding period in 2017.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU) informs that the key importers of rapeseed are as follows:
- Portugal — USD 16.82 million (38.67 thou. tons);
- the Netherlands — USD 11.09 million (25.51 thou. tons);
- Poland — USD 11.08 million (25.47 thou. tons).
In H1 2017, the main importers of Ukrainian rapeseed were Belgium (USD 17.69 million), Poland (USD 11.92 million) and Portugal (USD 11.74 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 42.23 thou. tons, 28.44 thou. tons and 28.06 thou. tons, respectively.
Reference: in the new season, for the first time in more than 40 years Canada has become the leader in rapeseed production, having exceeded the EU volumes.
