Export shipments of flour in Jan-June 2018 down 13.43k tons

Ukraine in January-June 2018 exported 183.58 thou. tons of wheat flour for the amount of USD 41.32 million, which is 13.43 thou. tons less than over the relevant period in 2017.
The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that export of flour of other types amounted to 954 tons (USD 471 thou.).
The major importers of wheat flour in the indicated period are as follows:
- China — 54.58 thou. tons (USD 12.28 million);
- the U.A.E. — 23.63 thou. tons (USD 5.32 million);
- Moldova — 16.74 thou. tons (USD 3.77 million).
It is noted that Ukraine exported flour of other types of grain to Slovenia (USD 143 thou.), Israel (USD 72 thou.) and Moldova (USD 62 thou.).
Reference: in January-May 2018, the production of wheat and wheat-rye flour in Ukraine amounted to 704 thou. tons, which is 5.3% less than over the corresponding period in 2017.
