Harvesting of grain crops completed on 50% of the areas — Harvest Online 2018

As of July 16, 2018, Ukrainian agrarians continue harvesting early grain and leguminous crops, which is carried out on the area of 4.77 million hectares or 50% of the forecast. 14.72 million tons of new crop are already harvested.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

  • winter wheat — 10.83 million tons from 3.34 million hectares (53% of the forecast) with the productivity of 3.24 t/ha;
  • spring wheat — 18 thou. tons from 7.0 thou. hectares (4%) with the productivity of 2.57 t/ha;
  • winter barley — 2.79 million tons from 800 thou. hectares (97%) with the productivity of 3.49 t/ha;
  • spring barley — 648.6 thou. tons from 345.4 thou. hectares (23%) with the productivity of 1.88 t/ha;
  • peas — 413.9 thou. tons from 263.1 thou. hectares (62%) with the productivity of 1.57 t/ha.

Rye is harvested from 7.1 thou. hectares (5% of the forecast), the yield amounts to 17,2 thou. tons. Oats are threshed from the area of 2.58 thou. ha or 1% of the forecast. 3.8 thou. tons have been harvested with the productivity of 1.49 t/ha.

In all regions, winter rapeseed harvesting continues, 780.400 hectares of areas are threshed (80% of the forecast) and 1.96 million tons of crop are harvested. In addition, spring rapeseed harvesting has started: 3.1 thou. hectares or 6% of the forecast are threshed so far and the harvest resulted in 5.1 thou. tons.
