Harvest Online 2018: 55 mln tons of grain threshed in Ukraine

As of October 23, 2018, grain and leguminous crops are harvested on 13 mln ha or 88% of the areas.

According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 54.5 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4.19 tons/ha.

The following yields are reported:

  • corn — 19.5 mln tons from 2.8 mln ha (62%) with a productivity of 6.82 tons/ha;
  • buckwheat — 131 thou. tons from 104 thou. ha (96%) with a productivity of 1.26 tons/ha;
  • millet — 74 thou. tons from 48 thou. ha (92%) with a productivity of 1.55 tons/ha;
  • sunflower — 12.8 mln tons from 5.7 mln ha (95%) with a productivity of 2.23 tons/ha;
  • soybean — 3.9 mln tons from 1.5 mln ha (89%) with a productivity of 2.54 tons/ha;
  • sugar beet — 8.9 mln tons from 184 thou. ha (66%) with a productivity of 48.4 tons/ha. 7.3 mln tons are delivered to processing facilities.

The highest productivity of grain and leguminous crops is registered in Vinnytsia region — 6.25 tons/ha, Khmelnytsk region — 6.24 tons/ha, Cherkasy region — 6.2 tons/ha, Sumy region — 5.95 tons/ha, Poltava region — 5.82 tons/ha and Kyiv region — 5.72 tons/ha.
