Seaports reduced grain exports from Ukraine to 612 thou. tons

In the period from October 27 to November 2, 2018, 612 thou. tons of main grain crops were exported from the seaports of Ukraine, which is 38% lower than the previous week (991 thou. tons, taking into account data actualization), APK-Inform reports.

The volume of wheat shipments in the reporting week exceeded the volume of the previous relevant period by 6% and amounted to 348 thou. tons. At the same time, shipments of corn and barley decreased significantly — by 57% to 216 thou. tons, and by 69% to 48 thou. tons).

The maximum volume of main grain crops in the reporting week was shipped from the port of Chernomorsk (196 thou. tons), followed by the ports of Odessa (130 thou. tons) and Mykolaiv (125 thou. tons).

The key directions for the export of Ukrainian grain in the past week were Morocco (132 thou. tons), Spain (124 thou. tons) and Germany (59 thou. tons).

By November 5, 2018, 60.7 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4.43 tons/ha (2017: 4.02 tons/ha).
