63 mln tons of grain harvested in Ukraine

As of November 8, 2018, the Ukrainian agrarians harvested 62.9 million tons of grain on the area of 13.9 million hectares (94%) with the productivity of 4.51 tons/ha.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reports the following yields:

  • early grain and leguminous crops — 34.3 million tons on 9.9 million hectares with a productivity of 3.48 tons/ha;
  • corn — 27.8 million tons on 3.8 million hectares (82%) with a productivity of 7.37 tons/ha;
  • buckwheat — 135 thou. tons on 107 thou. hectares (98%) with a productivity of 1.26 tons/ha;
  • millet — 78 thou. tons on 50 thou. hectares (97%) with a productivity of 1.54 tons/ha.

Harvesting of industrial crops has reached the following results:

  • sunflower — 13.3 million tons on 5.9 million hectares (98%) with a productivity of 2.24 tons/ha;
  • soybean — 4.3 million tons on 1.7 million hectares (98%) with a productivity of 2.55 tons/ha;
  • rapeseed — 2.7 million tons on 1 million hectares with a productivity of 2.61 tons/ha;
  • sugar beet — 12.1 million tons on 245 thou. hectares (88%) with a productivity of 49.2 tons/ha.

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of November 7, Ukraine exported 14.12 million tons of grain, which is 80 thou. tons less than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.
