14 mln tons of grain traded abroad since the start of 2018/19

Since the start of MY2018/19, as of November 7, Ukraine exported 14.12 million tons of grain, which is 80 thou. tons less than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 7.84 million tons, (–732 thou. tons y-o-y);
  • corn — 3.19 million tons (+1.2 million);
  • barley — 2.85 million tons (–754 thou. tons);
  • rye — 63.8 thou. tons (+54.9 thou. tons).

By November 5, 2018, grain and leguminous crops have been harvested on 13.7 mln ha or 92% of the areas. According to the Harvest Online 2018 project, 60.7 mln tons of grain have been threshed with a productivity of 4.43 tons/ha (2017: 4.02 tons/ha).
