Ukraine boosted corn exports by 61 pct

Corn exports from Ukraine as of February 6th reached 13.03 million tons having increased by 4.45 million tons as compared with the previous year's comparative period.

The Agrarian Ministry reports that the volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 11.61 million tons, (0.85 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • corn — 13.03 million tons (4.45 mln tons more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.27 million tons (0.7 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • rye — 87 thou. tons (73.8 thou. tons more y-o-y).

Since the start of MY2018/19, Ukraine shipped 28.52 million tons of grain, 3.93 million tons more than over the relevant period last year.

As of January 31st, 28.05 million tons of grain were exported from Ukraine, 11.75 million tons of which is wheat. The remaining deliveries of milling wheat including flour in grain equivalent stand at 6.91 million tons, and fodder wheat — 4.84 million tons.
