Odesa and Chernomorsk OFP up for auction

The Deposit Guarantee Fund sells Odesa and Chernomorsk Oil and Fat Plants, as well as a land plot of 5.43 hectares near the port of Chernomorsk where a grain transshipment complex was planned for construction, Dumskaya reports.

“The auction will be held on the Dutch system with a phased price reduction during the day. The starting price of the lot will be more than UAH 897 million, 20 pct of the objects net book value. Previously, assets were put up for auction through the ProZorro.Sales system at net book value, however, there were no buyers,” the message says.

Both enterprises belonged to Vasily Kalashnikov, the ex-deputy of the Regional Council.

Odesa Oil and Fat Plant was founded at the beginning of the XX century. The plant produced margarine, cooking and confectionery fats, sunflower oil and mayonnaise under the Sonyachna Dolyna brand name.
