Ukrlandfarming owner outspoke of blackmail by NABU

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) puts pressure on the founder and owner of Ukrlandfarming agroholding Oleg Bakhmatyuk in the case of VAB Bank refinancing, 112.ua informs.

“We had a conflict with NABU, which grew into a personal one. Criminal proceedings were initiated against us at the request of a man who demanded money from us. For 3.5 years, we are being terrorized. At first, we were open, provided documents, including orders to close criminal cases that were previously closed by the SSU and the National Police. But our openness was perceived as weakness — the more we gave information, the more questions we had to answer,” Oleg Bakhmatyuk explained.

He noted that it was difficult to prove oneself right when NABU violated the law.

“We are saying that it is impossible to investigate on one and the same issues during three and a half years. This needs to be stopped. The person who claimed to have filed the case is a fraud. But no one reacts to this. We are not afraid of the law, we are afraid of conjuncture. When we go to court, the court is afraid of NABU, as it knows everything about judges, about their power, their former life. And one finds himself in unequal conditions,” commented the founder of the agricultural holding Ukrlandfarming.

As previously reported, the facts researched by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) against the VAB Bank had already been investigated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the National Police.
