Sunflower seeds supplies from Ukraine close to 60 thou. tons

In January-April 2019, 55.9 thou. tons of sunflower seeds were exported from Ukraine for the amount of USD 22.2 million.

By the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the key importers of sunseeds in the reporting period are as follows:

• Turkey — 35.9 thou. tons (USD 14.32 million);
• the Netherlands — 4.7 thou. tons (USD 1.88 million);
• Romania — 2.03 thou. tons (USD 0.81 million);
• others — 13.1 thou. tons (USD 5.22 million).

Export of sunflower seeds in January-March 2019 stood at 33.72 thou. tons, 4.03x more from the prior year's comparative period.
