Sunflower seeds export in Jan-Mar totaled 8k tons

Export of sunflower seeds in January-March 2018 amounts to 8.36 thou. tons and is worth of USD 4.48 million.

The State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine reports that the major importers of Ukrainian sunflower in the reporting period are Italy (USD 1.08 million), Georgia (USD 0.56 million) and Romania (USD 0.47 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 2.01 thou. tons, 1.04 thou. tons and 0.88 thou. tons, respectively.

At the same time, sunflower imports in January-March amounted to 18.68 thou. tons.

Reference: in 2017, Ukraine exported 73.23 thou. tons of sunflower seeds for the amount of USD 29.73 million.
