Sunflower seeds export surged 4x

Export of sunflower seeds in January-March 2019 stood at 33.72 thou. tons, 4.03x more from the prior year's comparative period.
Export value amounted to USD 14.38 million vs. USD 4.48 million in the corresponding period of 2018.
The State Fiscal Service (SFS) of Ukraine reports that the major importers of Ukrainian sunflower in the reporting period are as follows:
- Turkey — USD 10.05 million;
- Romania — USD 0.73 million;
- Finland — USD 0.52 million.
In 2018, Ukraine exported 58.7 thou. tons of sunflower seeds worth USD 28.23 million.
